About DigitalShift

What does DigitalShift do?+

DigitalShift manages the practical online system around an Australian small business: websites, domains, hosting, business email, SEO foundations and scoped automation.

Is DigitalShift a hosting reseller?+

Hosting and domain infrastructure are part of the service, but not the proposition on their own. DigitalShift is the accountable management and growth layer that connects the website, visibility and business workflow.

Are prices in Australian dollars?+

Yes. Published prices are in AUD and exclude GST unless a page states otherwise. A proposal confirms the current retail price, minimum term and third-party costs before commitment.

Do you guarantee Google rankings or leads?+

No. DigitalShift guarantees only the agreed work and transparent communication. Search visibility and commercial results depend on competition, demand, the offer, reputation and factors no provider controls.

Ownership, plans and support

Do I own my domain and website?+

The domain should be registered to the correct customer entity. Website ownership, reusable platform components, licences and export rights are explained in the service agreement before work begins.

Can DigitalShift keep my current domain, email or website?+

Usually. Existing assets are reviewed first and kept when they remain useful, supportable and safe. A rebuild or migration is recommended only where it has a clear practical benefit.

Is there a lock-in contract?+

Managed website plans have a 12-month minimum because the initial build is subsidised. After that they continue month to month. Other services use the term shown in the proposal or order summary.

Where is DigitalShift based?+

DigitalShift serves Australian businesses remotely. The service is designed around focused calls, structured approvals and online support rather than a high-overhead office model.

How quickly will you reply?+

The normal target is within one Australian business day. An exact support response target is included with each active service.

How do I get started?+

Choose a relevant plan or request a free website review. DigitalShift will confirm fit, scope, price and the next step before any payment or commitment.

Websites

How long does a website build take?+

A standard managed website commonly takes 15–20 business days once required information and approvals are available. Larger content, ecommerce or integration scopes use a project-specific schedule.

Will the website work on mobile?+

Yes. Responsive behaviour, keyboard access, form usability and common device widths are part of the build and quality review.

Can you improve my current website instead of rebuilding it?+

Yes, when the platform is supportable and an improvement is the better commercial decision. A rebuild is not recommended simply to create a larger project.

Domains, hosting and email

Is domain availability guaranteed by the search tool?+

Only a live successful registry check and completed registration confirm the order. Premium price and Australian eligibility may also apply.

Are the hosting servers in Australia?+

DigitalShift selects Australian hosting where suitable. The final platform, data location, backup arrangement and support boundary are listed in the proposal.

Can you migrate website and email together?+

Yes, but they are planned as separate dependencies. Moving a website does not automatically move email even when both use the same domain.

SEO and automation

How long should I assess SEO?+

Technical fixes can be noticed sooner, while sustainable commercial visibility usually needs several months. Timing depends on demand, competition, the current site and the business's ability to contribute real expertise and proof.

Does DigitalShift buy backlinks?+

DigitalShift does not use paid link schemes or bulk low-quality placements. Relevant mentions and links should come from legitimate relationships, useful resources, directories and publicity.

Can an automation make mistakes?+

Yes. Integrations can fail and AI output can be wrong. Workflows therefore include proportionate validation, human approval, error alerts and a manual fallback.
