Refunds and cancellations
Published and reviewed 11 August 2026
A proposal, order summary or service agreement confirms the terms that apply to a purchase. This page explains the general DigitalShift approach and does not limit rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
Before work begins
DigitalShift confirms the service, scope, price, GST, minimum term, third-party charges and important ownership details before commitment. If that information does not match your understanding, do not approve the order until it is corrected.
Project and setup payments
Where a deposit or setup payment is required, the amount covers reserved capacity and work performed. If a project is cancelled after work begins, DigitalShift will assess completed work, committed supplier costs and any recoverable balance under the signed agreement. Work not supplied is not automatically treated as completed.
Managed website plans
Foundation, Momentum and Market Leader plans use a 12-month minimum term because the initial website build is subsidised. After the minimum term, the plan continues month to month unless the agreement says otherwise. Notice requirements and any early-cancellation amount are shown before acceptance.
Domains, licences and supplier services
Domain registrations, renewals, SSL certificates, Microsoft licences and other supplier services can be non-refundable after provisioning or subject to the supplier’s cancellation rules. DigitalShift does not register or provision these items until current pricing, required details and eligibility are confirmed.
Service problems
If the service is not delivered with due care and skill, is materially different from the agreed scope or another consumer guarantee may apply, contact DigitalShift promptly. The available remedy depends on the circumstances and may include correction, re-performance, replacement, price adjustment or refund as required by law.
How to cancel or raise a concern
Email hello@digitalshift.com.au from an authorised business contact. Include the service, requested effective date and the issue or reason. DigitalShift will confirm the next step, any required access handover and the financial position in writing.
Data and handover
Domain control, website assets, licences, customer data and export timing follow the applicable agreement and technical capability of the platform. Customers should arrange exports before a service closes. DigitalShift will not use avoidable confusion about ownership as a retention mechanism.
